Route 66, Arizona

Route 66 is obviously not the main highway any more, and seems to be built of little tourist hotspots where people either exit the interstates to get food, or use bathrooms, or because there are gimmicky attractions to be seen. However there is an undeniable romance to the route and an endless number of interesting travellers and residents to meet.

This photo is of an old barbershop attached to a general store. The whole place is now a tourist spot and souvenir shop. All the cards on the wall are business cards, I suspect from past customers, now from passing travellers stapling their presence to the wall.
