The highway

Designed for cars the size of buildings, driving slow and taking in the scenery with the big sky above. There's many sites to see along Route 66 as it traverses from Chicago to L.A.

This photo was taken quickly, I pulled over, jumped out, took the shot just before a big truck come roaring past my back. We had just passed an Indian Reservation just outside Vegas in Nevada. I really hoped at the time that the photo would turn out as we had been driving around America for months and I had been really trying to capture the open roads-big sky that America does the best. I hope that this conveys the American driving spirit as much as I want it to.
