Beautiful Martian red lake

After a long days drive across Uyuni Desert this red lake was our final stop. The size is very impressive, especially considering we were on the doorstop to the Atacama - the driest place on earth.

The Uyuni Desert is such a barren otherworldly place that NASA use it as a test place as to what may or may not be occurring on Mars. Thankfully all we needed to get to "Mars" was a Toyota Land-Cruiser and a driver with a bottomless bag of coca leaves.
